Matthew 4 Part 2
Today’s message returns to the fourth chapter of the book of Matthew to look at the last temptation of Christ. In this temptation Christ makes the statement in response to Satan "Thou shalt worship the Lord God only". It is interesting and powerful that the worship of God should be so critical in the life of Jesus that it was something Satan would tempt Him away from.

Expectations And Disappointments

Unfortunately about 40% of us will fail this goals by February. When we place our expectations on things of this world we are bound to be disappointed. However, when we place our expectations, and live our lives for Jesus Christ we will always come away joyful, an fulfilled.

Draw Nigh Unto God
Today’s sermon looks at the subject of drawing closer to God. Often in this world we let the things of this world draw us away from a close walk with God. How do we get back? How to we live in a way that draws closer to God? His word assures us that if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us.

Today’s sermon looks at the subject of Christ as our mediator. Looking through the book of Hebrews the writer exhibits how Christ is far better than anything the law, angels, or man could come up with. One of the chief roles Christ has played, and continues to play in our lives is that of mediator between God and man.

Facing Our Challenges Part 6
This message is a continuation of the sermon series on Facing Our Challenges. In this sermon we look at facing the challenge of submitting to God’s righteousness. Man has a tendency to rely on his own faculties to "gain" acceptance with God when really it is only through the righteousness of Christ that we are accepted.

Advent: The Prophecy

1 Corinthians 9

Facing Our Challenges Part 5
This sermon is a continuation of the sermon series on Facing Our Challenges. Today’s message looks at the challenge we face in battling Satan in this world, and battling our own flesh in this world. Satan uses our personal weaknesses in the flesh to subjugate the child of God, and cause them to fall. With the failure of the individual you have a cascading effect of failure in the family, failure in the Church, and ultimately failure in our effect in the community.
– By Elder Charles H. Kitchens
1 Corinthians 8
This message is a continuation of the sermon series on 1st Corinthians. In today’s sermon we look at the eigth chapter of 1st Corinthians. We often have a sense of our own "right-ness" in dealing with situations, especially in the Church. If we have a scripture to back up our point of view we feel justified in partaking in, and acting on our beliefs. In the eigth chapter Paul tells us that we all have knowledge, but it’s charity that should prevail in the Church when dealing with disputes.

Facing Our Challenges
Today’s message looks at the subject of facing our challenges. It is apparent in scripture that we are going to encounter challenges in this world. Christ tells us "In this world ye shall have tribulation". It’s a guarantee. However, much as the guarantee that there will be challenges there is also the guarantee by Christ that if we follow after Him we shall overcome.

Stand And Fight
As Christians we face many challenges in this world. Christ tells us that in this world we shall have tribulations, but we are to be of good cheer because in relying on Christ we find victory. There will be, however, situations we face that call us to stand on the principles of God at the risk of sacrificing our relationship, jobs, and status in this world.

This message was given at Poplar Springs PBC in Winfield, AL. Bro. Adam Kinsaul holds regular appointments there on 2nd and 4th Sundays.
Humility In The Church
Today’s message looks at the subject of humility. The word of God tells us repeatedly that its a humble heart, and a heart of humility that is blessed. In the context of the church it is the church that is striving to seek Christ, and in humility following after His teachings that is blessed.
